Free reschedule is always available within the same season, even on a day-of basis, provided the captain has a slot.
The captain calls it, not the office. If wind, swell, or visibility are unsafe — or just bad enough to ruin the day — we'll either reschedule you free of charge or refund 100%. We've cancelled fewer than ten trips in nine years, but when we do, we don't haggle about it. Light rain is not a cancellation; we sail rain-or-shine on the bay, except during named storms and red-flag advisories.

A swimsuit, a towel, sunglasses, and a hat with a chin strap. Wear or carry layers — the breeze offshore is cooler than you'd think. We provide reef-safe sunscreen, snorkel gear, drinking water, fresh fruit, and a soft cooler for your own drinks. Cameras are welcome; phones in waterproof pouches are sold at the dock for 80 MXN. Leave hard-soled shoes ashore.
Small. Our open-boat sailings cap at 8 guests, sport-fishing at 6, sunset sails at 10. The Marietas day cap is 8 — set by the marine park, not us. Every vessel runs with the captain plus one deckhand. If your party is larger than the cap, you're looking at a private charter — see below.
Two of our vessels — Marea and Lucida — have ramp boarding and a fixed-seat deck plan suitable for wheelchairs and reduced-mobility guests. We staff a second deckhand and adjust the itinerary to skip beaches with surf landings. Please tell us your needs in advance; we'll match you to the right captain and explain swim options honestly.
Every captain speaks Spanish and English fluently. Inés speaks Italian, Mariela speaks French, and three of our deckhands speak German. We're happy to match a language to your group when we know in advance.
Always. Half-day private charters start at $890 USD on a panga and run up to $3,400 for a full-day sail on Marea. The price covers the boat, captain, deckhand, fuel, water, fruit, and snorkel gear. You write the itinerary; we build it. Reach out two weeks in advance for high-season weekends.

Yes — most trips. We size life jackets from 9 kg up. Sport-fishing and the longer Marietas day are best for confident swimmers 8 and older; sunset sails and the food tour suit everyone. Children under 5 sail free on private charters and at half-price on group departures.
Three to five business days for Visa and Mastercard, up to seven for Amex, same-day for bank transfer reversals. We push the refund the moment you confirm; the lag is on the bank, not on us. You'll get an email with the gateway reference number as soon as it leaves our account.
